WANDA MAXIMOFF ROGERS
THE SPARK
After a change of heart, the tragic loss of her bother – and only family as well as her country - destroyed in the battle against Ultron, Wanda Maximoff followed the Avengers back to the United States where she began to be trained to become an Avenger, herself.
Broken and feeling alone in her mourning, Wanda never opened to anyone but to Steve Rogers, Captain America, the man in charge of training the newest recruits, who seemed to understand her grief.
Even though Wanda then learned how to socialize and became a part of the group, her friendship with Rogers was always the most prominent one.
Noticing the closeness that was growing between the two, Natasha Romanoff, also known as the Black Widow, suggested that the two of them went out to dinner.
Seeing nothing wrong in a night out between two good friends and teammates who worked rather well together, Rogers and Maximoff agreed without the suspicion that nothing would ever be the same after that evening as their feelings for each other started to grow.
DATING
After a first confession from the male, Wanda struggled with her feelings as she didn't want to endanger a friendship that meant so much to her. The idea of gambling with something that important was more than scary and getting involved with a teammate seemed wrong.
It took her days to figure out that there was no going back, with what had been said, that she was feeling the same way.
It took her days to finally grab her courage and confront him.
It was during his birthday celebration, held at the Avengers Tower, that things officially took off for the pair.
With time, Wanda's mastery of her powers only improved and under his supervision as well as Romanoff's, she began field training.
Between assignments, missions, and other duties, things weren't always easy for the couple. But that only gave more meaning to the few moments they could afford to spend together.
MARRIAGE & THE START OF A NEW FAMILY
Wanda Maximoff and Steve Rogers got married on August 27th surrounded by friends and loved ones.
It was a genuine period of happiness for everyone, a relatively peaceful time that enabled the two to take a break from their heroic positions to focus on their private lives.
The couple soon moved out of their quarters at the Avengers compound into a secure house in Brooklyn's perimeter for more privacy.
Wanda gave birth to twin boys on October 10th the following year, Abraham and Aaron Rogers, then to a little girl, Charlie, on April 2nd, another year after that.
THE SUPERHERO REGISTRATION ACT AND THE CIVIL WAR CONFLICT
Unfortunately, good things, like the way their lives was arranged had to come to an end. A sudden resurfacing of Brock Rumblow, on the run since S.H.I.E.L.D. collapsed was a call back into action for the two heroes.
During the operation in Lagos, Captain AMerica was taunted by the captured fugitive who claimed that the Winter Soldier - Bucky Barnes, Steve's best friend, brainwashed weapon by HYDRA was the one who hired him. As he kept the Captain distracted, he activated the bomb that was attacjed to his vest in an attempt to kill himself and the hero in the process. Weary, and to protect her husband, Wanda managed to contain the explosion around Rumlow and tried to move the blast away, but inadvertently destroyed a nearby building, killing many of its occupants, much to her horror.
The catastrophe triggered a series of worldwide debates about empowered so called heroes like Wanda and the Avengers and their rights to intervene in conflicts without prior authorisation.
The matter ultimately split the Avengers in half, leading to a dismantlement of the whole team and both Steve and Wanda as well as their friends who stuck by their sides, acting against the Registration act, became fugitives from the law and were forced to flee the country.
THE FUGITIVE LIFE
Being emprisonned in the Raft prison after having been arrested by the German authorities, left Wanda in a fragile state of mind. After her rescue, the Rogers family was relocated in Edinburgh in Scotland and all the precautions were taken so they'd disappear: with new names, and a brand new way of life as the previous one seemed dead and buried.
The transition wasn't an easy affair but they eventually managed to settle down somewhere and start anew.
If Steve sometimes continued his work under the name of Nomad, Wanda stayed back, behind, to take care of the family.
Such was the semblance of normalcy the Rogers had to live by for two years.
THANOS' VENUE
A sudden phone call from Dr. Bruce Banner informed them of a bigger threat that was heading to Earth: Thanos, the Mad Titan, was on the hunt for the infinity stones to execute a mad plan of wiping half of the universe - and two of those stones were located on the planet.
If the first one, the Time Stone, was safe, with Earth's mightiest sorcerer Doctor Strange, the other was implanted in the android Vision who had unfortunately vanished and gone radio silence since the split of the Avengers team.
Which was the reason why, Wanda who shared a special connexion with the Mind Stone was compelled to come out of hidding and given the assigment to track the android down and bring him back regardless of her status with the law.
INFINITY WAR
The operation to draw Vision back was successful however, they were intercepted by the children of Thanos: Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive.
With the help of Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff and Sam Wilson, they managed to get Vision to safety. A plan to remove the stone from him and make Wanda destroy it with her powers, to prevent Thanos from collecting all six stones was soon established but such a delicate procedure would only be possible in Wakanda, a secret nation located in Africa.
Meanwhile, Thanos made considerable in his quest and completed his gauntlet, stone by stone at a very rapid pace.
His search eventually led him to Wakanda and a raging battle ensued opposing Earth's last line of defense against the titans army.
The procedure of stone removal was unfortunately not completed and Wanda was forced to kill her friend Vision in a very desperate attempt at stopping the titan, but that was without taking into account that he had the Time stone at his disposition.
Despite all efforts combined, Thanos completed his goal and snapped his fingers, erasing half of the universe including Wanda and her two sons, Abraham and Aaron, leaving Steve with Charlie and the oher half of the populations who survived the genocide.
